Dear colleagues,
Following on the successful first LiteBIRD-Europe meeting held in Cardiff 2-3 August, we would like to announce the date of the next meeting, which we had agreed would be held in Paris.
This meeting will be for two full days: Monday, 23 October and Tuesday, 24 October 2017. The meeting venue will be APC at the University of Paris 7 (Denis-Diderot). We request people to arrive Sunday night, so that we can begin Monday morning sharp, and the meeting will end by 18:00 on Tuesday, so people should consider staying Tuesday evening if necessary.
A more detailed announcement will follow, but the basic format will be a plenary meeting to discuss how to organize LiteBIRD-Europe following on the ideas discussed at the closing session of the Cardiff meeting as well as meetings of the Joint Study Groups (for this meeting held sequentially rather than in parallel), so that interested Europeans can become integrated in the on-going work in collaboration with the Japanese and American team and existing external collaborators.
As discussed in Cardiff, in consultation with the LiteBIRD PI Masashi Hazumi, we intend to expand the existing network of external collaborators within the next few weeks.

As anticipated in the First announcement, a LiteBIRD-Europe will be held at APC-University of Paris 7 (Denis-Diderot) the 23rd and 24th of October 2017. The chosen format will be a plenary meeting presenting the outcomes of the LiteBIRD Joint Study Group to integrate interested Europeans in the on-going work in collaboration with the Japanese and American team and existing external collaborators.
It will also be discussed how to organize an European participation to the JAXA/LiteBIRD satellite, following on the ideas discussed at the closing session of the Cardiff meeting.
Because of the room capability, the attendance to the meeting will be restricted to a fixed number of participants, as provided by the national Contact Points: Martin Bucher (France); Erminia Calabrese (UK); Eiichiro Komatsu (Germany); Nicola Vittorio (Italy).
The meeting will take place in the Amphitheatre Pierre De Gennes, basement of the Batiment Condorcet (10 Rue Alice Domon et Léonie, 75013 Paris)
